With over 20 years of experience in the global beauty and wellbeing markets, Sarah-Jayne Carpenter is a leader in sustainable innovation, strategic transformation, and life-inspired design. In 2023, she launched Biomimicry Gaia, a platform driving research into innovative materials, supply chains, sustainable resources, and global commodities, while consulting brands on strategic development and innovation.


Sarah has worked across retail, supply chain, wellness, food innovation, and beauty, blending academic insight with hands-on industry leadership. Her expertise includes:

She has held senior academic and industry roles, including lecturing on international retail and luxury brand management at Goldsmiths University and Regent’s University London. In industry, she led The Body Shop’s Greater London portfolio, increasing turnover from £10M to £16.1M, and oversaw £8.3M across 55 brands and 56 stores at Hallett Retail, driving brand launches, store openings, and team development.
